About The Position

Onward Search is a national staffing company with 19 years of experience delivering specialized talent to leading organizations across the country. The company is launching a new staffing division to supply licensed behavioral health professionals to hospitals, health centers, recovery treatment facilities, and related healthcare providers. As we continue to build and scale our Behavioral Health Staffing Division, we are seeking a proactive and results‑driven Recruiter to support sourcing, recruiting, and placing behavioral health professionals. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment and enjoys building strong candidate relationships within the behavioral health space.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in staffing, with behavioral health recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing, and placement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on phone outreach and relationship management.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, KPI-driven environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple candidates and placements simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Candidates: Utilize job boards, referrals, and online platforms to identify and attract qualified behavioral health professionals for open roles.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of behavioral health candidates through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Qualifying Candidates: Conduct thorough candidate screenings to assess qualifications, experience, and fit for specific roles.
  • Negotiating Compensation: Discuss and negotiate pay rates and compensation packages with candidates, ensuring alignment with both candidate expectations and client needs.
  • Candidate Management: Provide ongoing support to candidates after placement, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction in their roles.
  • Internet Savvy: Stay up-to-date with online recruiting tools and strategies to effectively source and engage potential candidates.
