About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maritime Recruiting & Crewing Administrator to support workforce planning, recruiting, and personnel administration for our offshore fleet. This role is responsible for ensuring vessels remain properly staffed with qualified mariners while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong recruiting expertise, operational coordination skills, and a solid understanding of maritime compliance standards. This role works closely with vessel leadership, operations teams, and senior management to support safe and efficient fleet operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in maritime recruiting, crewing, HR, or marine operations
  • Working knowledge of USCG licensing, STCW standards, and maritime compliance requirements
  • Proven experience in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring skilled personnel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and personnel tracking systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and obtain/hold a valid TWIC card

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, HR, Business, or related field
  • Experience with maritime systems (e.g., NS5, CrewMax, ABS Nautical Systems)
  • Background in offshore, towing, or Jones Act operations
  • Familiarity with Subchapter M and U.S. Flag vessel requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage staffing and scheduling for a fleet of vessels and approximately 200 mariners
  • Coordinate crew assignments, rotations, and relief coverage to support operational demands
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified mariner candidates to support ongoing and future needs
  • Serve as the primary contact for all crewing and staffing-related matters
  • Source and recruit qualified mariners through industry networks, schools, referrals, and job boards
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates; conduct reference checks and provide hiring recommendations
  • Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring timely and compliant mobilization of new hires
  • Build relationships with maritime schools, training organizations, and industry professionals
  • Partner with vessel leadership on employee relations, performance management, and retention efforts
  • Assist with career development planning and succession planning for crew members
  • Support employee engagement initiatives across the fleet
  • Track and manage all licenses, certifications, medicals, and training for mariners
  • Ensure full compliance with USCG, STCW, and company requirements
  • Coordinate drug and alcohol testing programs in accordance with regulatory policies
  • Maintain knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel and compliance records
  • Utilize systems to track certifications, recruiting activity, and crew data
  • Prepare employment verification letters, sea service letters, and related documentation
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vessel personnel, and external partners
