About The Position
Caliber Therapies is seeking a passionate, creative, and client-centered Recreational Therapist for a flexible, community-based setting. The role uses meaningful engagement and a strengths-based approach, with leisure as a tool to support client growth. The therapist works independently while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team. The rate is $45 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Recreational Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation.
- Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) in good standing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage clients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable source of transportation.
- Personal computer or tablet for documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in behavioral management techniques is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Facilitate one-to-one sessions in clients’ homes or in the community.
- Promote functional independence, leisure awareness, and social participation.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Document progress and maintain compliance with agency and payer requirements.
