About The Position
OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Per Diem Recreational Therapist for its Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital located in Dublin, OH. This hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges resulting from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Part-time/Per Diem positions are eligible for 401k upon reaching 1,000 hours of employment within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year. Requirements
- Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
Responsibilities
- Plans and implements appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital and the profession.
- Responsible for provision of therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload.
- Ensures all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provides hospital wide leisure, social and divergent programs.
- Serves as an educator to patients on community resources.
