About The Position

The mission of Freeman Health System is to improve the health of the communities served through contemporary, innovative, quality healthcare solutions. This Recreational Therapist position is located at Freeman East Hospital, which offers behavioral health care. The facility includes an Adult Psych inpatient psychiatric locked unit with 42 beds and a Geri Psych unit with 10 beds. These Behavioral Health Units treat acute psychiatric illnesses for the region. The Recreational Therapist works independently to plan, develop, and implement therapeutic recreation programs for patients, aiming to enhance their cognitive, physical, and emotional recovery through the development of appropriate leisure skills.

Requirements

• Graduate Of An Accredited Recreational Therapy Program.
• Must Successfully Pass Patient Care Orientation (Pco) Within 30 Days Of Hire.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (Cpi) Within 120 Days.

Nice To Haves

• Applied Physical Skills (Aps) Preferred, But Not Required.

Responsibilities
