About The Position

The Recreation Therapist is responsible for assessing patient’s leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. Requirements

• Bachelor’s in field of Art, Music or Exercise/Fitness required
• One year experience in working with a mental health population

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s in Recreation Therapy preferred
• CTRS or Licensed in Specialty Therapy preferred
• Knowledge of group leadership skills
• Knowledge of age specific growth and development
• Knowledge of crisis and behavior management
