About The Position

ERP International is seeking a full-time Recreational Therapist to support the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The role develops and implements recreation-based treatment programs to help patients restore or improve functioning and independence, promote health and wellness, and reduce activity limitations and restrictions. The therapist also teaches, coaches, and supports patients; collaborates with multidisciplinary treatment teams; consults with staff; and presents recreational opportunities to staff. The schedule is Monday through Sunday, with an 8.5-hour work period between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and a 30-minute lunch. The position may require up to one full weekend shift per month.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Graduate of an accredited college or university program in therapeutic recreation or recreational therapy.
At least one year of experience as a Recreational Therapist within the last two years.
Current certification as a Recreational Therapist from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).
Current AHA or ARC BLS certification.
Ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop treatment plans to restore, remediate, and rehabilitate functioning and independence in life activities, promote health and wellness, and reduce or eliminate activity limitations and restrictions.
Develop and implement individual recreation programs based on assessment results.
Teach, coach, and support as required.
Work with multidisciplinary treatment teams to evaluate and review the care provided to patients.
Provide individual consultation to staff as requested.
Develop presentations for staff on recreational opportunities.
