About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring a Recreational Manager at Les Peters Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. Les Peters Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for female youth ages 14 to 19, providing comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services, including individual, family, and group counseling.

As a staff member of the Student Services Department team, the Recreational Manager is primarily responsible for providing daily recreational and leisure activities that are physically challenging, educational, and constructive. The role reports to the Clinical Director and offers the opportunity to help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for youth.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in therapeutic recreation or equivalent, with one to three years of experience.
• Working knowledge of the Positive Operation Culture.
• Leadership ability to instill high-standard positive attitudes among staff and students.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively serve students.
• Level 2 background screening, drug screening, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Instill high-standard, positive attitudes among staff and students through leadership.
