About The Position

Riverside Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a caring, energetic, and creative Recreational Enrichment Aide to help create a positive, engaging, and enjoyable environment for residents. The aide plans and assists with recreational activities that promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and quality of life. The role supports residents’ dignity and independence and provides companionship and meaningful engagement.

Requirements

• Patience, compassion, creativity, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and engage with residents of varying abilities.
• Must follow facility policies and resident safety guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in recreation, activities, senior care, or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting recreational activities, including games, arts and crafts, music, and social events.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement for residents.
• Assist with group activities, special events, holiday celebrations, and entertainment programs.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized activity area.
• Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Administrator.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Support residents’ dignity, independence, and emotional well-being.
• Follow facility policies and resident safety guidelines.
