About The Position

Community Health and Wellness, LLC is seeking Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists to provide services for individuals with disabilities throughout Texas. This role involves one-on-one home and community Recreation Therapy for children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioral/mental health diagnoses. The position requires travel to consumer homes and facilities, creating tailored goals, documenting sessions, and collaborating with team members.

Requirements

CTRS or TRS/TXC certified.
Minimum of Bachelors Level Degree required in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Administration with emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies with emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation, and/or related degree to Therapeutic Recreation.
CPR/AED/FIRST AID Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only).
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel to consumer homes and facilities.
Willingness and ability to transport client(s) during client visits.
Valid driver’s license.
Agency-required auto liability insurance (100k/300k Bodily Injury).
Access to a private personal laptop or desktop computer for HIPAA compliance.
Professional Liability Insurance (with $1 million/$3 million coverage limit).
Resume.

Auto Insurance (with 100/300/100 coverage minimum).

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one home and community Recreation Therapy to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioral/mental health diagnoses.
Create tailored goals to meet the needs of individual clients.
Document on each session.
Communicate with other team members and service providers.
Turn in timely documentation including weekly invoicing, progress notes, and related paperwork.
Travel to current or prospective clients’ homes.
Transport client(s) during client visits.
Implement patient care plans through home and community goal-related activities.
Work independently, manage one’s own time and the time of client(s).
