Responsible for developing, conducting, and supervising/chaperoning a wide variety of leisure-time activities for all students. This role assists with planning, organizing, and carrying out the department's total recreational services. The specialist will explain and demonstrate the uses of supplies and equipment, and the techniques and procedures for activity sessions, exercising professional judgment and responsibility. The position involves administering a well-rounded program of diversified activities in the assigned recreation component, maintaining daily attendance records, discipline, cleanliness, and inventory control. The specialist will also post schedules, submit activity plans, chaperone off-Center trips, manage funds for trips, and assist with training student leaders.
