Kids Club Recreation Leader
About The Position
The Kids Club Recreation Leader is responsible for providing proper supervision of children while maintaining a safe environment. This role involves positive classroom management, adherence to Ohio Department of Education (ODE) licensing rules, and completion of all required training. Additional duties include assisting the team leader in planning program activities, setting up and cleaning the assigned classroom, and maintaining organization of classroom supplies and storage areas. The position requires the ability to fully participate in all activities, including lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, sitting, walking, and swimming. The leader will also supervise and interact with children outdoors for extended periods in varied weather conditions and must be able to walk to various locations with students.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Successfully pass a BCI/FBI Background check
Responsibilities
- Providing proper supervision of children while maintaining a safe environment
- Provide positive Classroom Management
- Follow all Ohio Department of Education(ODE) licensing rules
- Complete all required training assigned by the school district and ODE
- Assist team leader in planning program activities
- Set up and clean assigned classroom
- Maintain organization of classroom supplies and storage areas
- Perform assigned duties and accept direction from Child Care Director
- Demonstrates a full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, swim, or otherwise fully participate in all activities
- Supervises and interacts with children outdoors for extended periods of time in varied weather conditions
- Must be able to walk to the pool, library and other locations in Grandview Heights with students
