Temporary Recreation Leader
About The Position
St. Camillus is seeking a full-time temporary Recreation/Activities Leader for a diverse skilled nursing facility setting, including short-term rehabilitation and specialty programs. The role includes completing assessments, establishing goals, and monitoring residents’ and patients’ progress. The Recreation Leader plans, organizes, and leads group activities and individual interventions tailored to residents’ needs and interests, supporting the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning. The position involves working with high-functioning and cognitively impaired residents, as well as people with behavioral symptoms, and requires working every other weekend.
Requirements
- Prior experience providing recreational programming to cognitively and physically impaired adults.
- Experience working with individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis.
- Working knowledge of computer skills, including Word and Excel.
- Work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in recreation or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field (preferred but not required).
