The Recreation Leader - Aquatics is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, safety, staffing, and administration of the City's aquatic facilities and programs. This position supervises a large team of aquatics staff, including lifeguards, swim instructors, and pool supervisors, and is responsible for recruitment, training, scheduling, certification management, and performance oversight. The Aquatics Leader ensures compliance with local, state, and industry safety standards while maintaining high-quality aquatic facilities through oversight of water quality, facility maintenance, equipment inventories, and emergency preparedness programs. This position also coordinates aquatic user groups, manages operational records and payroll-related processes, administers American Red Cross certification programs, and serves as a key resource for aquatic operations, risk management, and customer service. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader committed to providing safe, efficient, and exceptional aquatic experiences for the community.
