About The Position

A Recreation Laborer performs physically demanding tasks in a variety of outdoor settings, including landscaping, construction, and grounds maintenance. This role involves manual labor, operating equipment, and working in diverse weather conditions.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to learn through on-the-job-training.
Must have a valid driver's license, with a clear driving record
Ability to work well in public settings and represent the organization professionally
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

Prior outdoor labor experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with event preparation and on-site support
Perform trail maintenance and grooming (including winter grooming)
Operate and perform basic maintenance on outdoor equipment
Cut and prune trees as needed
Perform string trimming and general landscaping tasks such as digging, mowing, debris removal, installing hardscapes, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining tools and equipment.
Paint various surfaces as required.
Maintain disc gold courses and trails
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
