About The Position
Brompton Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care Community is seeking a passionate Recreation Director to plan, coordinate, and implement programs that cater to the diverse interests of residents, ensuring they have meaningful and enriching activities. This role is part of the community's management team and reports to the Executive Director.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience planning and leading recreational programs, events, and activities for seniors in a healthcare setting to include recreation therapy.
- Involves routine mobility.
- Work includes lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling/moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Prior supervisory experience advantageous.
- Memory Care experience is also a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a balance of physical, social, spiritual, intellectual, cultural, and creative activities.
- Prepare, distribute, and post monthly activity calendars.
- Coordinate seasonal and special events.
- Interview residents and/or families upon admission to gather interests and needs.
- Participate in the planning and budgeting process for recreation services.
