Assists in the planning, promotion, development, implementation and supervision of various programs, activities, aquatics, field trips, transportation, special events, leagues, tournaments and hospitality services. This role involves coordinating with various City departments, community organizations, vendors, and volunteers to ensure the smooth execution of recreational opportunities. The coordinator is responsible for informing the community about these opportunities through advertising and promotions, as well as managing and training part-time and temporary staff. Customer service is a key aspect, including greeting the public, answering phones, providing information, and resolving citizen complaints. The position also requires preparing financial and program reports, maintaining supply and equipment needs, and adhering to safety codes. Driving City vehicles may be necessary for transporting materials or people. Specific duties may include operating a cash register, monitoring inventory, using various equipment, and potentially working with pool chemicals and equipment. The role requires regular and timely attendance and professional interaction with the public and colleagues.
