About The Position

As a Recreation Attendant, you will promote the resort’s recreation activities and facilities to children and adults (e.g., lake activities, pool and outdoor games, and educational programs). Your responsibilities will also include but are not limited to, encouraging and registering guests for activities, maintaining equipment, and facilitating activities. To ensure we provide the best services to our guests, as a Recreation Attendant, your duties will entail interacting with guests with an engaging and friendly attitude.

Requirements

• Ability to work mornings/days, weekends & holidays as required.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team members to reach common goals
• Maintain professional presentation (must adhere to company and department dress code)
• Outstanding guest service skills
• Ability to determine proper safety is in effect.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
• Regularly required to stand and move for extended periods.
• Twist at the neck and trunk, bend at the waist, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulders, and horizontally.
• Employees often use their hands to handle objects and tools and operate service equipment.
• Regularly lift, move/push/pull up to 50 pounds by themselves and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Frequently ascend and descend stairs.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with related recreation positions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assure cleanliness and organize recreational areas including but not limited to: family Pool, corn hole boards; croquet; lake dock area for swimming, fishing, and renting boats.
• Provide enthusiastic customer service for recreation. This includes and is not limited to: welcoming guests, taking reservations for amenities, answering phone calls, providing resort information, monitoring bike rentals
• Clean and maintain patio equipment including chairs, umbrellas and tables.
• Issue and inventory pool towels
• Monitor and address regulations and safety concerns for The Otesaga Resort Hotel recreation.
• Issuing and inventorying pool towels.
• Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
