About The Position

The Sporting Clay Instructor is responsible for providing high quality, positive and safe shooting experiences for all participants. Greets and instructs guests on clay shooting and safely operate firearms. This role involves providing personalized coaching on techniques such as stance, gun mount, and target tracking, while enforcing strict safety protocols. The instructor will also manage range equipment, lead private or group lessons for beginners to advanced shooters, and ensure a safe and engaging experience. Responsibilities include operating, cleaning, and restocking clay target throwers, maintaining the shooting course, and keeping a comprehensive inventory. The position also requires assisting guests with information and services.

Requirements

Experience with instructing outdoor activities.
Experience with customer service.
Ability to instruct diverse audiences.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work outdoors.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
Deep understanding of firearm safety.
