Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License and County Driving Privileges.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • General knowledge of various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work responsibilities or environment.
  • Ability to assimilate and apply new job-related information in a timely manner.
  • Ability to interact with others in a way that instills confidence.
  • Ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media.
  • Ability to ensure the customer perspective is a driving force behind decisions and activities.
  • Ability to take prompt action to accomplish objectives and achieve goals beyond what is required.
  • Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility rentals.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Setup/breakdown of events.
  • Assist with implementing hands-on programming administered to all ages throughout the year.
  • Perform basic maintenance duties such as light cleaning and trash pick-up.
  • Ensure safety of participants/spectators and administer first aid when necessary.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints from the public.
  • Collect fees and take registrations for recreational programs and facility rentals.
  • Assist with various recreational programs for all ages.
  • Referee at various sports activities; provide services as timekeeper, scorekeeper or line-person at games.
  • Assist with special events and field trips.
