About The Position

Mountain Ridge Center is Now Hiring a full-time Recreation Assistant/Driver! This is a full-time position, approximately 32 hours per week, with 24 hours dedicated to Recreation Assistant duties and roughly 8 hours for Driver responsibilities. Some evenings and rotational weekends are expected based on scheduled resident events. Full-time employees are eligible for Medical Benefits or Modified Compensation, which offers an additional 25% on the base rate of pay. The role involves enriching the lives of patients/residents by planning, organizing, and implementing engagement activities that cater to their physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors and respond to their medical and physical needs.
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal/ written skills.
  • Well-developed organizational abilities and record keeping skills.
  • Able to positively engage with personnel, resident/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and implement engagement activities that meet the physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of our patients and residents.
  • Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
  • Document patient/resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs.
  • Attend care plan meetings as needed.
