About The Position

Bridgewater: A Legacy Retirement Community is hiring a part-time Activities Assistant to support vibrant weekend programming for our senior living community. This role offers a consistent weekend schedule, working Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, making it a great fit for someone looking for reliable hours while making a positive impact. As part of the Life Enrichment team, you'll help bring energy and purpose to resident life through a variety of recreational activities, social events, and individualized engagement.

Requirements

Warm, compassionate, and naturally engaging personality.
Strong interest in working with seniors and creating meaningful moments.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
At least 21 years old.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Reliability, with the ability to work every Saturday and Sunday.
Flexibility, creativity, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in senior living, recreation, activities, or caregiving.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and leading a variety of life enrichment programs designed to enhance resident well-being.
Lead group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, exercise sessions, and social gatherings.
Provide one-on-one engagement tailored to each resident's interests and abilities.
Encourage participation and build positive relationships with residents.
Support weekend events, special celebrations, and community programs.
Prepare activity spaces, manage supplies, and ensure organization before and after events.
Collaborate with the Life Enrichment team to ensure residents have a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
