About The Position
The Recreation Assistant leads group and independent activities for residents and assists with planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs in accordance with residents’ assessments and care plans. The organization emphasizes person-centered care, teamwork, respect, appreciation, integrity, communication, and collaboration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to plan and lead groups.
- Ability to multitask and plan for individual needs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a skilled nursing environment or working with the elderly population.
- Experience in activity programming.
- Experience with dementia care or long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Lead group and independent activities for the resident population.
