About The Position
Live Well by Kahala Nui is an Adult Day Care center located in Iwilei. We are looking for an on-call Recreation Aide to join our team. Recreation Aides assist, encourage, and provide direction to our members with personal needs which enable the member to maintain good personal hygiene, to carry out activities of daily living, to maintain good health, and to participate in the activities of the center. Schedule will vary, depending on business needs. Live Well by Kahala Nui is open Monday - Fridays, 7:30am - 5:30pm.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Must meet all pre-employment and ongoing state requirements for employment in an adult day care center such as annual tuberculosis clearance, criminal history background clearance, and employment physical clearance.
- Must be available to work varied schedules.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification or CNA training preferred.
- 1-year previous experience in senior care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist, encourage, and provide direction to members with personal needs.
- Enable members to maintain good personal hygiene.
- Assist members in carrying out activities of daily living.
- Help members maintain good health.
- Facilitate member participation in center activities.
- Lead activities in front of large crowds of Live Well's members.
