About The Position
The Therapeutic Recreation Aide implements diversional therapeutic recreation programs for individual and group service for patients and their families. The Therapeutic Recreation Aide helps prepare patients and the environment for treatment and assists the therapist in performing treatment under his/her direction. This position generally requires providing service to AD, A, O, F age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years experience in activity leadership with individuals who are physically disabled or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree Program in Therapeutic Recreation or an Associate’s Degree in related field strongly preferred.
