About The Position

Transformation House is seeking dynamic, dependable individuals to join our residential women’s treatment team as Recovery Techs. In this hands-on role, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for adults receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Requirements

  • Active Minnesota driver’s license and approval through the company’s vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to pass a DHS background study.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • At least two years of continuous freedom from substance abuse.
  • Ability to perform essential job duties, including occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
  • Compassionate, observant, and willing to jump in where help is needed.
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Communicate respectfully.

  • A desire to support people recovering from substance use and managing mental health challenges.

  • Willingness to complete required training and follow patient safety, confidentiality, and reporting procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new patients, assist with admission tasks, and help them understand program routines and expectations.
  • Support patients with daily activities while encouraging independence, accountability, and respectful interactions.
  • Monitor patient well-being, complete safety rounds, and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate staff.
  • Assist with medication processes within required training and program policies.
  • Transport patients to appointments and other approved destinations.
  • Maintain accurate patient notes, shift reports, and other required documentation.
  • Help keep the facility clean, organized, and ready for patients, including dishes, housekeeping, and meal preparation as needed.
  • Use appropriate de-escalation techniques and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Collaborate with counselors, nurses, and fellow Recovery Techs to provide consistent patient support.
