Recovery Services Coordinator
About The Position
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Recovery Services Coordinator in the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, Division of Harm Reduction and Recovery Support Services to serve as the primary liaison between youth and young adult initiatives and recovery community outreach centers (RCOCs). The selected candidate should have strong project management, writing, and oral communication skills; ability to work cooperatively with diverse stakeholders; and ability to work independently and as part of a team. The selected candidate must have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with changing needs and priorities; and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint.
Requirements
- 7 years of full-time professional experience in a substance use disorder (SUD), health, or mental health field; OR Associate's degree and 5 years of full-time professional experience in a substance use disorder (SUD), health, or mental health field; OR Bachelor's degree and 3 years of full-time professional experience in a substance use disorder (SUD), health, or mental health field; OR Master's degree and 2 years of full-time professional experience in a substance use disorder (SUD), health, or mental health field; OR D. and 1 year of full-time professional experience in a substance use disorder (SUD), health, or mental health field; OR D.
- Possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with changing needs and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management, writing, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day tasks under youth and young adult initiatives
- Direct oversight of RCOC Youth Service Expansion sites
- Coordination between Youth Clubhouses and RCOCs
- Provide technical assistance and training to providers
- Assist with data oversight, performance monitoring, and outcome evaluation
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, learning collaboratives and office hours.
- Present as a subject matter expert providing information at meetings, conferences and other stakeholder engagement activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including interagency partners, to advance project objectives and ensure coordinated service delivery
- Develop tools, resources, guidance documents and educational materials to support the implementation and expansion of the Recovery Community Outreach Center (RCOC) Youth Expansion project.
- Participate in the development of other youth/young adult recovery initiatives as deemed appropriate.
