About The Position

Gastroenterology Associates of North Mississippi (GANM) is seeking a talented Recovery Room Assistant to help drive patient success in our community. GANM is a team of gastroenterologists and allied health professionals with a proven track record of providing excellent care. The practice specializes in treating the full range of digestive diseases and is located in Oxford, MS. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Flexible, Detail oriented, Customer focus, Team working, Initiative, Problem solving, Organized, Self-motivate.
Understand/comprehend English as well as read/follow written English instructions.
This role requires continuous activity levels in areas such as walking, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching.
It also requires dexterity in motion/flexibility.
Ability to lift, push or pull 35+ or more.
Must be able to differentiate colors and successfully pass color blind screening.

Responsibilities

Stock blankets in the blanket warmer.
Practice infection control and standard precautions as instructed and trained.
Move patient-ready stretchers, as applicable.
Strip the stretcher of all paper and sheets when each patient is discharged and dispose accordingly.
Maintain par levels of supplies.
Check for expiration dates monthly.
Wipe down all applicable equipment with disinfectant cloth.
Take the soiled trash and linen to designated areas for pick-up.
Remove any bodily fluids from the wall and/or the floor in the recovery room bay.
Remake the clean stretcher with clean supplies.
Stock the patient bays with supplies.
