About The Position

Ready to suit up as a Recovery Healthcare Security Guard. What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths. As a Health Care Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in the environment. This is Temporary long-term coverage.

Requirements

Valid Manitoba Security Guard License (as required by the province)
Experience monitoring security cameras (CCTV) and responding to alarm systems
Strong observation and situational awareness skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, staff, and visitors
Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or emergency situations
Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
Ability to write clear and accurate incident and shift reports
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during patrols

Nice To Haves

First Aid/CPR Certification required or considered an asset
Previous security, healthcare, shelter, or customer service experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

Regularly check the building and surrounding grounds to ensure doors, windows, and access points are secure.
Monitor and control who enters and exits the facility, ensuring only authorized staff, clients, and visitors enter.
Keep an eye on security cameras, alarm systems, and emergency exits.
Respond to emergencies such as medical issues, disturbances, or fire alarms. Notify management or emergency services as needed.
Ensure the safety of clients and staff, maintaining a calm and professional presence.
Maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and any unusual observations throughout the shift.
Ensure clients follow facility rules, intervening when necessary but in a non-confrontational manner.
