This is a Part-Time Recovery Counselor position for the AM shift at the Crisis Residential Treatment Facility (24/7 Adult Inpatient).

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) required.
Valid CPR, First Aid, and ProAct certifications are required within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in a social science field preferred.
Six (6) months of direct care experience in a mental health setting preferred. (A non-professional, consumer-directed internship may be substituted.)
Valid California Driver’s License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria preferred.
Supervision for BBS hours for AMFT, ACSW, and APCC professionals (where applicable).

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with daily living skills, including eating, personal hygiene, grooming, and other care needs.
Monitoring attendance and encouraging participation in activities and therapeutic programs using positive motivation and support.
Helping lead group activities and outings.
Promoting positive social interaction among clients.
Serving as a positive role model.
Maintaining accurate documentation of client participation and responses in the medical record.
Participating in treatment team meetings as needed.
