About The Position

Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to helping people change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. They are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to join their team as a Female Specific Floating Support Worker. As a Floating Support Recovery Worker within Change Grow Live Nottinghamshire, you will work with clients in structured treatment who are entering, or are on a path to enter a housing crisis. You will actively engage with women and the services they need to support improved health, wellbeing, and social inclusion. This role provides wrap-around support, including practical, emotional, and social aspects of preventing homelessness and maintaining a tenancy. Please note: it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for the successful applicant to be female. The role is based in Nottinghamshire, with travel required throughout the county. It is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, on a fixed-term contract until March 31st, 2028.

Requirements

  • An understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with drug and alcohol use in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employment, and personal relationships.
  • Experience of supporting and advising women with complex and/or multiple barriers to success.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience facilitating successful tenancy sustainment and working to achieve positive community connections.
  • Experience and knowledge of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse, and Sex work.
  • The ability to work with and manage challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to travel throughout Nottinghamshire effectively.
  • Must be female (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010).
  • Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Work county-wide across Nottinghamshire.
  • Establish effective communication and referral pathways for women who are at risk of homelessness and in contact with other health and care agencies.
  • Provide wrap-around support in emergency/temporary/supported accommodations across Nottinghamshire.
  • Manage and prioritise a female-specific caseload based on crisis intervention, risk, and priority need.
  • Attend relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings supporting links to health and social care services, peer support networks, community assets, and mutual aid.
  • Work closely with the local authority, Health & Social care sector, partners, and any provision linked to preventing homelessness and improve joint working.
  • Provide support on budgeting, welfare benefits, and income maximisation whilst referring on to specialist providers such as education, training, and employment advice.
