About The Position

The Recovery Coordinator II is responsible for performing general warehouse activities. This includes conducting 100% quality control checks in receiving locations for high shrink and breakdown merchandise, as well as on outbound, laydown, storage, and cigarette merchandise. The role involves continuously auditing picking locations, ensuring all club shipping lanes are audited and merchandise is accounted for before manifesting club loads. Additionally, the coordinator will investigate and document all discrepancies, photograph vendor non-compliance, research and resolve overages, shortages, and damages on inbound receipts, and create systemic VCBs for merchandise returns, salvage, or destruction. The position also requires verifying timely faxing of freight claims to the Home Office Financial Control department, isolating and documenting salvageable freight, coordinating with salvage vendors, and resolving discrepancies in VCB processing locations.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environment which includes heat, cold, noise, dust.
  • When needed, working on powered equipment for up to 8 hours per day.
  • When needed, standing, bending, lifting, pulling, carrying for up to 8 hours per day.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, including ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse activities.
  • Verify 100% quality control checks in receiving locations on high shrink and breakdown merchandise.
  • Verify 100% quality control checks on outbound, laydown, storage and cigarette merchandise, with audits being conducted continuously in the picking locations.
  • Ensure all club shipping lanes are audited and merchandise accounted for prior to manifesting club load.
  • Investigate all discrepancies, documenting and logging errors.
  • Document and photograph vendor non-compliance as it relates to BJ's Routing and Packaging Guide.
  • Research and resolve overages, shortages, and damages on all inbound receipts timely.
  • Create systemic VCB's (Vendor Charge Back) for merchandise to be returned to vendors, salvaged or destroyed.
  • Verify that freight claims are faxed to Home Office Financial Control department in a timely manner.
  • Isolate and document all freight to be salvaged and coordinate with the salvage vendor for pickup and payment.
  • Resolve all discrepancies in the VCB processing locations.
