About The Position

Monte Nido Clementine Houston is a residential treatment program in Conroe, Texas, serving adolescents seeking treatment for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, or exercise addiction. The program supports adolescents and their families through recovery by helping clients build healthy skills and prepare to navigate life free of an eating disorder.

The part-time Recovery Coach supports clients throughout their recovery journey and provides care consistent with their treatment plans. The role includes engaging with clients in the residential milieu, supporting meals and snacks, observing clients, and occasionally driving them to appointments and activities off-site. The position offers exposure to therapeutic groups and opportunities to develop core skills in the mental health and eating disorder field.

Available schedule: Sunday and Monday, 2 p.m.–10 p.m.; Thursday, 6 a.m.–2 p.m. The role is onsite in Conroe, Texas.

Requirements

• At least two years of post-high-school education.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving history.
• Good communication and client relations skills, service orientation, flexibility, and ability to work as a member of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired; required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Support and integrate clients through their recovery journey.
• Provide support and intervention consistent with each client’s treatment plan.
• Engage clients in developing healthy and appropriate connections with other clients in the milieu and with the team.
• Assist with food preparation and setup; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
• Participate in exposure to therapeutic groups and develop core skills to promote clinical growth.
• Conduct rounds and provide observations.
• Occasionally drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.
