About The Position

The Recovery Coach is responsible for providing personalized, strengths-based peer support to individuals in recovery, serving as a mentor, confidant, and guide. This role involves one-on-one engagement, offering support both in the center and within the community, helping members navigate their recovery pathways and achieve their personal goals. The coach will also conduct recovery planning sessions, maintain informal records, and revisit progress with participants to ensure ongoing goal achievement. They will be integral in building a supportive, empowering environment for individuals on their recovery journey.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of uninterrupted recovery required
  • Completion of Recovery Coach Academy and Recovery coach certification required within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services.
  • Strong skills in the areas of communication, follow through, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in contemporary Windows operating systems and Windows office suites with an emphasis on Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems; experience entering and working with data; and comfort and experience using mobile technologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • High energy level, flexibility, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team atmosphere while also working independently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have access to a safe, operational, and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport Members.
