About The Position

UCFS strives to use person-centered care to improve the health and well-being of everyone in our community. They are currently seeking a Recovery Coach who will utilize personal recovery experience and training to assist individuals, families, couples, and groups, with engagement into substance use treatment, accessing and utilizing resources, and managing substance use disorders. UCFS is a Federally Qualified Health Center, and their team is passionate about the services they provide and is committed to making a difference for their clients and community. They specialize in integrated care, which means having access to essential services to meet the complex needs of those they serve. They work collaboratively across programs at their agency to remove barriers and streamline access to services including behavioral health services, primary care, dental, case management and more. Requirements

  • In recovery from substance use for minimum of 2 years, required
  • Minimum of Associates Degree
  • Ability to provide a strength based, client centered approach to the delivery of service
  • A valid driver’s license and state mandated levels of auto liability insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of substance use/peer recovery support preferred
  • BA/BS preferred
  • CCAR/RSS certification preferred
  • Experience with integrated care/medical practices preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides peer mentoring support, information and guidance relevant to clients’ recovery needs (social skills, substance use recovery supports, training, mentoring, behavioral management skills and recreational activities, etc.)
  • Collaborates with therapists and clients to determine care plans related to basic needs, legal, medical, insurance.
  • Assists clients to meet basic needs via case management, skill building and coaching.
  • Assists clients with access to program services, area resources.
  • Participates in Case Reviews and supervision.
  • Provides documentation as required by funder, agency and program standards.
