About The Position

Siouxland Community Health Center has a full-time opening for a Recovery Coach. The successful candidate will provide ongoing recovery support, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention support, and early re-engagement for individuals with Opioid Use Disorders (OUDs). This role involves assisting patients in identifying recovery goals, overcoming barriers to treatment engagement, and maintaining connections to various support services. The Recovery Coach will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals and community partners to ensure continuity of care and long-term recovery stability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of approved Peer Recovery Specialist training following hire
  • Ongoing education in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and systems navigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Lived experience related to recovery, substance use disorder or family/community recovery support strongly preferred
  • Experience providing peer support, recovery coaching, outreach, or working with individuals with substance use disorder preferred.

Responsibilities
