About The Position

The Recovery Clerk at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission of providing job training and employment opportunities to individuals facing barriers to employment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and processing goods.
  • Physical ability to lift and move items as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of Goodwill Industries.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit or charitable organization is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recovery process of donated goods, ensuring items are sorted, processed, and prepared for sale in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the sorting area and storage facilities, to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize recovery operations and improve processes for better inventory management.
  • Assist in tracking inventory levels and reporting discrepancies to ensure accurate stock management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers, addressing inquiries and facilitating smooth donation transactions.
  • Support the organization's goals by actively participating in team meetings and contributing ideas for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and mission of GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC.
