As a Records Specialist Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for all inmates at SCI Cambridge Springs. You will be involved in reviewing court orders related to inmates, as well as attending judicial hearings and providing testimony or records as needed. Additionally, you will play a role in the intake process for new inmates, including fingerprinting and photographing them. It is crucial that you maintain the security of all inmate records and follow all DOC policies regarding the release of information. Moreover, as part of your position, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the institution's records office and ordering necessary supplies to maintain its functionality. Your duties will also include supervising the scheduling and preparation of inmate releases by the records office staff, in addition to conducting departmental meetings and providing meeting minutes to staff. Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a Corrections Records Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of experience as a Records Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of clerical or correctional custodial experience that includes two years of specialized records work in a correctional facility; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of specialized records work experience in a correctional facility
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
