Requirements

  • 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in records management AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/ techniques AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in employee training & development AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations or business communications.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and administers the extensive data collection and records maintenance program for all records (i.e., hard copy & electronic) within the central office and field offices of the Division of Oil & Gas.
  • Establishes procedures for maintenance of records, efficient storage of records, naming conventions of records, and the inventory of records.
  • Provides advice and consultation on records management and data collection to agency records contact, Division personnel, and others.
  • Establishes records retention schedules based upon their administrative, legal, and fiscal value.
  • Directly supervises the work of Records Management Officers by coordinating duties and procedures as well as verifying the accuracy of prepared, sorted, scanned, and indexed documents.
