About The Position

The Records Data Specialist reports to the Records Information Manager and works closely with the Senior Records Coordinator. This role involves identifying, organizing, cataloging, inventorying, and storing physical and digital documents. The specialist will research data to support retention processes using firm systems and approved tools, and collaborate on firmwide records, risk management projects, and related initiatives. They will also assist Legal Assistants with file and records closing, and perform routine records functions such as labeling, file ordering, vendor coordination, off-site storage, Ricoh scanning, and retention or destruction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or five years of progressive records and/or research experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Strong client service and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift and move file boxes as needed.
