About The Position

The responsibilities of the Reconstruction Technician Assistant include assisting the Reconstruction Technician in restoring residential and commercial properties damaged by fire, water, mold, and storms. To be successful as a Reconstruction Technician Assistant, the employee must be able to follow instructions and eager to learn.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, and flooring installation.
Willingness to learn about building materials and their proper use in residential and commercial properties.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Comfortable working in properties affected by fire, water, mold, or storm damage, with proper training and safety procedures.
Dependable team player with good communication, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools or willingness to learn proper tool use.
Ability to follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
0-2 years of general work experience
Valid Driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced reconstruction technicians with basic drywall repairs, including patching, taping, sanding, and applying standard finishes.
Assist with minor carpentry and cabinetry repairs to help restore damaged structures.
Perform basic plumbing tasks, such as assisting with leak repairs and replacing fixtures, under appropriate supervision.
Assist with the installation and repair of flooring materials in affected areas.
Assist in restoring properties to their pre-loss condition following fire, water, mold, or storm damage as part of turnkey restoration projects.
Assist mitigation technicians with water extraction, fire damage cleanup, mold remediation, and related restoration activities.
Follow company safety procedures, applicable building codes, and industry standards while performing assigned duties.
Remain reachable by phone during periods when awaiting assignment or engagement. During these periods, employees may use their time for personal activities unless contacted and instructed to report for duty.
Ability to safely drive and operate company vehicles, trailers, and restoration equipment as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
