Requirements

  • Clear understanding of the reconditioning department process including being familiar with Vehicle Delivery Inspection of Both New and Used Vehicles, Transportation Claims, Generating & Tracking of open repair orders and any open and outstanding safety recalls
  • The ability to lead a high producing team
  • proven experience as Service Advisor. a Drive/Service Manager, or Reconditioning Manager
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive dealership service experience &/or certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manages the team to maximize performance and efficiency
  • Professionally addresses all customer, operational, and performance concerns
  • Meets regularly with the GSM/Used Car Manager to discuss service levels, repair quality, cycle-time performance and other issues that drive customer satisfaction
  • Ensures technicians possess the necessary skills, resources, equipment, and information to provide quality service
  • Educates new employees on their role, expectations, policies, processes and procedures
  • Conducts performance reviews ensuring employees know their strengths and opportunities for improvement
  • Identifies performance issues and develop and implement plans to address them
  • Implements accurate estimate & invoicing processes
  • Maintains equipment and adequate supplies
  • Manages and enforces company policies
  • Managed repair follow-up for pre-owned vehicles by tracking shop progress, maintaining the department's Google tracking document, and communicating timely updates to customers, including pickup notifications when repairs were complete.
  • Schedule, perform and deliver customer vehicles with "WE OWE" work to be performed
