Tuscumbia - Reconditioning Center Maintenance & Tire Technician - Full Time
About The Position
Long-Lewis Auto Group is looking for a Reconditioning Center Maintenance & Tire Technician to join their team. In this role, you will help prepare pre-owned vehicles for retail sale by performing routine maintenance services, tire installation and repair, and general vehicle inspections. The Reconditioning Center Maintenance & Tire Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and tire-related services on pre-owned vehicles within the Reconditioning Center. This position plays an important role in ensuring vehicles meet Long-Lewis quality and safety standards before they reach the sales lot.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable automotive maintenance or tire service experience
- Experience performing routine vehicle maintenance and tire services
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid services
- Mount, balance, rotate, repair, and replace tires as needed
- Inspect vehicles for maintenance and safety concerns
- Perform basic preventative maintenance to prepare vehicles for retail sale
- Maintain accurate records of completed work
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Work with the reconditioning team to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Follow dealership and manufacturer service procedures
