About The Position

SUMMARY The Reconciliation and Audit Specialist II is responsible for performing daily broker reconciliations of an assigned set of mutual funds for the Fund Accounting team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Prepares broker cash and asset reconciliations for funds to be added to their daily packets. Researches reconciliation items to provide explanations. Provides directions to the Fund Accounting team to resolve issues in the Fund Accounting system. Downloads monthly bank or broker statements for audit requests SPECIAL PROJECTS Works on audit support tickets. Cross-trains on multiple reconciliation types to assist when coworkers are out of the office. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Contact as needed with external business partners regarding general information, audits, inquiries, or reporting requirements. Collaborates with Fund Accounting, Financial Administration, and Middle Office departments, as needed. May perform other duties as required and assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, or equivalent. 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services, or a related field. KNOWLEDGE Xceptor. FIS Investment Asset Manager. Accounting and finance principles. Stocks, bonds, options, and futures. Financial industry terminology. Microsoft Office Suite. Adobe Acrobat.
