We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Reconciliation Administrator who will be part of a team responsible for the daily reconciliation processes to ensure the integrity of our book of records, and the associated financial and operational controls. Our firm is undergoing an exciting transformation, and this role will also play a key part in driving that change. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the implementation of a new reconciliation platform and the establishment of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) designed to enhance accountability , clarify roles and responsibilities, and optimize operational performance. This individual will be part of a team of 3-5 reconciliation administrators and ensure that accounts are reconciled daily, with a focus on aligning our book of records with banks, depositories, and counterparties. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our operations while maintaining the highest standards of control and accuracy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience with reconciliations
  • Post secondary
  • Able to work well under pressure and demanding workloads
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and comfortable in a computer environment.
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Adaptability to change and technology-driven environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Mutual fund and/or securities experience a desired asset
  • Any related industry courses would be an asset. (example: IFIC Operations Course or CSC)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with department daily reconciliation of accounts for records held in error within the business unit.
  • Assist with department month-end reconciliation of accounts to ensure that all client accounts which are out of balance or require investigation can be reviewed and resolved accordingly
  • Resolve inquiries from internal departments in an efficient and professional manner
  • Participate in ongoing projects and initiatives undertaken by the department
  • Understand and closely adhere to department policies and SLA’s
  • Follow-Up on outstanding reconciliation items
  • Work with Back Office to resolve any outstanding requirements
  • Create, review, and maintain related documentation for business processes
