About The Position

The Recess Coach will supervise students during assigned recess periods, facilitating positive interactions and conflict resolution. This role requires the ability to analyze situations, administer first aid if necessary, and maintain recess equipment. The coach will also report discipline issues to administration and participate in required meetings and professional development activities. Consistent and punctual attendance is expected.

Requirements

• Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church.
• Accepts and supports the school’s statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God’s direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Positive and patient attitude
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement
• Ability to perform job requirements (ie. standing for extended time)

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of experience with school aged children

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during the assigned recess
• Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective and calm course of action
• Facilitates positive, productive interactions during recess including conflict-resolution
• Ability to properly administer first aid if necessary
• Maintain recess equipment
• Reports discipline issues to administration in a timely and clear manner
• Participate in meetings, devotions, professional learning community and Inservice as required
• Maintain consistent, punctual attendance
