About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Recess Coach to supervise and engage students during recess periods. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in sports, physical education, or childcare. This role is essential in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and positive behavior among students while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.

Requirements

Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable.
Lifeguard certification or experience in swimming is a plus.
Familiarity with various sports such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, karate, judo, and martial arts.
Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle diverse student needs.
Ability to create engaging lesson plans for physical activities that cater to different skill levels.
A passion for promoting health and fitness among children.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with students and staff.

Responsibilities

Supervise students during recess to ensure their safety and well-being.
Organize and lead various recreational activities, including sports, games, and physical exercises.
Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all students.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
Provide guidance and support in activities such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, swimming, karate, judo, and other martial arts.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate physical education concepts into recess activities.
Monitor equipment usage and maintain a safe play environment.
Communicate effectively with students to promote teamwork and sportsmanship.
