The Recertification Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all annual and interim recertifications in accordance with Internal Revenue Code Section 42 and all applicable federal, state, and local affordable housing program requirements. This role supports the organization’s compliance objectives by ensuring all resident files are processed, reviewed, and maintained in an audit-ready state, while mitigating risk and maintaining adherence to regulatory timelines. The Specialist collaborates with on-site teams, compliance leadership, and external agencies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and operational efficiency across the portfolio.
