About The Position

We are currently seeking a full-time Recertification II to join our team, specifically focused on working with seniors. Providence Community Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer and property manager serving the Greater New Orleans area. With almost 20 years of development experience and over 1,700 residential units developed to date, Providence has taken over the property management functions of Christopher Homes, Inc. and is proud to add their 60-year history of excellence to our team managing over 2,400 senior affordable apartments. We focus on the production and preservation of affordable housing and empowering strong communities.

Requirements

One or more years experience in leading and occupancy functions, property management, or loan processing with HUD program guidelines
Comfortable using computers and property management software
Reliable, adaptable, and ready to handle occasional on-call responsibilities
Successful completion of drug and background testing as part of the hiring process

Knowledge of HUD policies and procedures governing subsidized elderly housing and recertification
Experience working with the elderly
Nonprofit experience
Property management experience

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

All resident recertification processing, paperwork, and inspections
Irregular updates to tenant information as needed
Assists with various repair and replacement requisitions
Move in and move out proceedings
Voucher rent coordination
Coordinate apartment inspections for recertification
Maintain accurate and timely statistical records and reports pertaining to HUD, PCH, and to the residents
