About The Position

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) is seeking a Receptionist to join their team. This role is crucial as the first point of contact for the organization, responsible for maintaining the reception area and providing administrative support to the 6th floor. The Receptionist will ensure a professional and welcoming environment for visitors, clients, vendors, and staff, while also handling administrative tasks such as mail processing, courier coordination, and general office operations. Additionally, the position supports various agency programs through data entry, record maintenance, client communications, and financial/operational tracking to ensure efficient daily operations and continuity of services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to understand invoices, fractions, decimals.
  • Basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Very good writing skills.
  • Must submit to a level II background screening through the DCF Clearinghouse.

  • Bilingual - English/Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the reception area and provide administrative support to the 6th floor.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the organization, greeting and directing visitors.
  • Manage the main telephone line.
  • Coordinate visitor access and ensure a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Process incoming packages and mail.
  • Coordinate courier and shipping services.
  • Prepare documents for distribution.
  • Assist with general office operations.
  • Support agency programs through data entry, record maintenance, client communications, satisfaction surveys, financial and operational tracking.
  • Take phone calls for MOW clients or drivers and add notes or send emails.
  • Send cancellation notices via mail.
  • Call clients to complete Satisfaction Surveys for Meals on Wheels and Shopping programs.
  • Review and process check requests across multiple entities.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets with accurate financial and operational information.
  • Update and maintain 701-A records in NewOrg following completion of the Annual Client Review.
  • Update, modify, and maintain information within the ECIRTS spreadsheet.
  • Complete multiple check requests.
  • Shred documents.
  • Insert Documentation of Nutrition Scores, Income, and Risk Scores on NewOrg.
  • Forward voicemails from outside business hours to respective staff.
